Five Tips for Fabulous Wedding Day Hair

When you begin planning your wedding there are a lot of things that go into it. Finding a venue, figuring out your wedding party, dealing with caterers, finding a dress, buying a cake etc., and in the midst of all of that you have to think about your look on that special day. Aside from your dress, your hairstyle is one of the most important things when it comes to pulling your look together on your wedding day. The wrong hairstyle could throw off your whole look and, let's be honest, no bride want to look back at their wedding pictures and be horrified at the way their hair looks. That being said, it is important to consider these five tips when choosing a hairstyle for your big day.

1. Hair Trial- You should ALWAYS have a hair trial before your wedding day. This will help your stylist get familiar with your hair. You should also bring pictures, and anything else that could help you show your stylist exactly what you you envision for your wedding day. Do not decide on a hairstyle until you have a dress- As I stated before, your hair is one of the most important things to your wedding day look, but you need to make sure that it goes well with your dress. Meaning you cannot decide on a hairstyle until you know FOR SURE what dress you will be walking down the aisle in. Now don't get me wrong, it is always good to have a general idea of what you want but it's best no final decision is made until you have a dress.
3. Don't be afraid to do your own hair- Nobody knows your hair and what you want better than you. It saves money and this way you can be sure that you are getting exactly what you want and your aren't trusting someone else with something so important. So if you know that you could do your own hair, go for it. Now be aware that you should still do a trial run and it may good if you have a friend to help you with the back of your hair.
4. Your hair should go with the theme of the wedding- You should never overdo your hair, but you should also never under-do your hair. If you are have a casual beach wedding there is no need for a super formal up-do and if you are in a elegant ballroom you should do more than your normal everyday ponytail.
5. Try not to over accessorize- Hair accessories are great  on your wedding day but it is imperative that you do not over load your hair with flower hair clips and glittery barrettes. One or two is fine but any more than that can make you look too costume-ish.
